I was all of the above until ...

Wow! Isn't it wonderful when the Scripture pops off the page and God directly speaks? This does not happen every time I pick up the Bible but I sure appreciate how so often my reading is divinely appointed.

I've been particularly stressed at the learning curve needed to launch a book. Writing was the easy part. What is expected of authors these days is next thing to ludicrous and I was having a meltdown. I literally had a list of 52 things that authors do to launch a book and most of which I would have to learn by taking tutorials. From making book trailers, to monthly newsletters, to videos, to learning Canva, Google Forms, joining podcasts etc. to name just a few, I was coming unglued.

So, I got down on my knees as I remembered Matt. 6:33"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all things shall be added to you." Peace did not come immediately as I literally had to turn the noise off, but it did come. With that peace, came knowledge. And with that knowledge came wisdom that all I do, I do for Him and in the end He is in control. God entered my center—there was room for no more. Once quieted and serene before Him, He led me to Daniel. I pray this Scripture will touch your soul as much as it did mine. May this prayer that Daniel cried out to God approximately 562BC empower you as it did him, and as it did little old me in 2019.

If you are suffering with any type of anxiety, fear, stress, worry, I encourage you to stop everything, take a moment and breathe out this prayer. I have personalized it so you can just read and pray. Peace will be your sweet reward.

Daniel 2:20-23.

  • Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His.

Stop and repeat, for all of life and all that matters comes back into focus when we acknowledge this truth.

  • And He changes the times and the seasons.

Oh God thank you for Spring, thank you for all things new. Thank you that my life is in your hands through all seasons of change, trial, sadness or stress.

  • He removes kings and raises up kings:

Thank you God that every politician, leader, pastor, speaker, teacher, every position, deadline, or work of ministry is in Your control. Do not let the enemy of my soul take me on a journey of busyness away from You.

  • He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.

God the only understanding I need is to come to you for all wisdom and knowledge.

  • He reveals deep and secret things: He knows what is in the darkness.

God nothing is a surprise to you. You oh God (Elohim) share revelation and You find delight when we ask You to help us understand.

  • And light dwells with Him.

You are light and give light. In You, there are no shadows, no black, no dark and if I am feeling overwhelmed I need only to call your name.

  • I thank you and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might.

I am so grateful I can come to you oh God my Father, praise you, and feel the outpouring of your wisdom and power in my life. Amen

After praying this prayer a clarity came to me that was not present before. If I do all for Jesus including my writing, then He has this and He has what is going on in your life too.

Take a moment and listen to this encouraging song by Casting Crowns called Only Jesus. It puts all into perspective.

In this reference the title of God/Elohim means Supreme One. If you would like to read more about this name, go back to Oct. 1, 2018
